Updating Our Kids Bathroom - 05-06-24

Our house is almost 40- years old,  so we have been going through it and making upgrades to certain areas of our home. Sometimes we use contractors and get help from our designer friends and other times we take on the challenge ourselves. As was the case with our kids bathroom, the kids bathroom has a pretty strange layout. There are 3 sinks, 1 dual vanity and 1 single sink behind the door. 1 Standing only shower  1 shower with a tub, and of course a toilet. Below are some photos of the almost complete renovation. I posted some links to some of the items we used in the bathroom, if you want to try and get the same look. This bathroom started out with One large mirror behind the 2 sink vanity and same for the single sink vanity. To update the look we took down those mirrors and hung single mirrors. I also tried my hand at smooth coating the drywall during this time. I believe the term is SKIM Coat. Skim Coating was not all that difficult, it was the time and the sanding that I learned is most critical. You can probably see in the photos some of the blemishes, I think it adds character, my wife probably thinks different! Ha!  I wish I would have taken "before" photos but it didnt cross my mind until I started this website. Honestly, I am just an average JOAT and if I can pull this off I have no doubts that anyone reading this can as well. Its mainly taking the time to draw it, or picture it all up in your head, find the products, and then again taking the time to execute.

Here are the photos of our progress so far.
